Kroft to Obama: Are you punch-drunk?

In an interview today on 60 minutes, "President Barack Obama said he believes the global financial system remains at risk of implosion with the failure of Citigroup or AIG, touching off “an even more destructive recession and potentially depression.”

"His remarks came in a “60 Minutes” interview in which he was pressed by an incredulous Steve Kroft for laughing and chuckling several times while discussing the perilous state of the world’s economy."

“You're sitting here. And you're— you are laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems. Are people going to look at this and say, ‘I mean, he's sitting there just making jokes about money—’ How do you deal with— I mean: explain. . .” Kroft asks at one point."

“Are you punch-drunk?” Kroft says."

“No, no. There's gotta be a little gallows humor to get you through the day,” Obama says, with a laugh."
-------------------------------------------
I has been my contention that Obama is a liar extraordinaire. Cannot and does not tell the truth.

Ilargi outlines how the "solution" to the economic catastrophe is not only ill-advised, but it is dastardly, and on purpose.

Obama is laughing so hard and so often, because he is enjoying this immensely. He is a socialist who hates America and is enjoying being the main instrument of its downfall. Gleefully laughing at the rubes that he fooled and the ease with which he can implement raping the public coffers for his and others' own benefit. Skeptical of my last statement? here is another's opinion:

"It is noteworthy that President Obama chose to speak of “moral and ethical concerns” during his appearance on the “Tonight Show” last week. And here lies a moral dilemma that is being ignored: President Obama willingly accepted donations from AIG to his presidential campaign last year, and now this year he has handed-over billions of our tax dollars to the company."

No wonder the guy laughs so hard.

for the curious about the tinyurl: it's to a website called butasforme.com

http://www.butasforme.com/2009/03/17/obamas-stimulus-bill-explicitly-grants-aig-the-legal-right-to-hand-out-bonuses/?ge

a page discussing the stimulus bill. Same with the other link, to butasforme page discussing Obama's political virginity.

Interesting perspective, Pro. Thanks.

Here, here...bring down the wealthy. That's EXACTLY what we voted for...social CHANGE. Glad you recognize that Obama's slogan was, hey, more than just a slogan...imagine that! We haven't seen anyone actually ACT ON the slogan they RAN ON. Uh, maybe someone missed it, but Obama won with a huge majority and he has a mandate for social change. He's doing what a clear majority of Americans voted for, and his huge approval ratings show people support him. These are bright days for democracy.

"Bring down the wealthy"??!! WHat communist planet are you from?

And social change, so that means you are OK with the Congress making punitive laws targeted at specific citizens. I'll remember that when they decide YOU are wealthy and pass a law to bring you down?

No, American citizen against American citizen calling for some to be "brought down" is not what we voted for. A punitive Congress is not what we voted for. If you think that these are "bright days for democracy" I'd like to know your definition of both bright days AND democracy is.

PS Obama is a liar.

Speak for yourself - it's EXACTLY what I and many others voted for.

And punitive laws against crooks from AIG? - All for it! Go get 'em!

Rich people exploiting the poor, wasting resources, exploiting Americans after 9/11, exploiting our own military to make big profits for rich oil barons - those rich greedy exploiters are the REAL terrorists - go get 'em!

Guess what? We voted for CHANGE and change means some of you might just get your feathers ruffled...glad to see it's happening...it's evidence that Obama is committed to change even if some of ya'll get your feathers all ruffled up.

voting to bring down other Americans is erm, unAmerican, if I do say so.

You say Go Git Em to AIG-ers now, but that also is unAmerican, using the IRS to "get" specific people, and who's to say they won't make a law to come get YOU? WHat will you say then? AIG today, Anonymous unAmerican tomorrow.

Yes my feathers are ruffled: I am sad for the millions out of work and hungry while Obama feathers his nest with AIG donations and sends 62% of the bailout $$ overseas.

You voted for change but you have no idea which change is coming, but being blind to them till the last second might be a mercy to you
