My new blog: The End Time
On the left side menu there are links to other prophecy news sites, most are automatically updated daily. Below that, are videos related to end times themes. On the right are polls, Christian book reviews (not by me), and the little pictures listing the end times signs are clickable, related to a daily news article about that prophetic sign. Also there are the end times signs listed, clickable, that bring you to the bible verse. So if you forget "which bible verse said iniquity will abound?" just click on the alphabetical list and it takes you right to the verse. The list is not compete, but it's as comprehensive as this layman could get it.
In the middle you will see articles I write about end times, with many links to ongoing news. Today's essay is about the rash of violence overspreading the country related to "rage" such as snow rage, waiting rage, parking rage, etc. It's different news that I send in the Daily Doom digest!
So please, please bookmark the site and send the link to your friends. It is a loving work for me and hopefully will be a blessing ministry to those whom visit. Also spread the word about the Daily Doom digest...:)

2008, Year of Disasters
"The past year has been one of the most devastating ever in terms of natural disasters, one of the world''s biggest re-insurance companies has said. Munich Re said the impact of the disasters was greater than in 2007 in both human and economic terms."
Earthquakes in diverse places: a response to those who say "But we have always had earthquakes. It's not the end times." In one hundred and eight years of record keeping: data shows a dramatic increase in number of earthquakes the last two years:

I wonder how the Hurricane Ike victims are doing...we haven't heard a news story out of Texas since Ike's winds wisped away.

Mark of the Beast
That's not all. Remember the flooding this spring that damaged wheat, corn and soybean crops? Our supermarket shelves already are thinning. Bush can declare himself a dictator at any time, according to PDD 51, and implement martial law for any reason, and he probably will. In early September an article from the Army Times appeared with little fanfare...or notice. They reported that troops will soon be patrolling our streets starting today:
"The 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent 35 of the last 60 months in Iraq patrolling in full battle rattle, helping restore essential services and escorting supply convoys. Now they’re training for the same mission — with a twist — at home."
"Beginning Oct. 1 for 12 months, the 1st BCT will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command, as an on-call federal response force for natural or man-made emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks." The article goes on to inform us the Brigade will be involved in "subduing unruly citizens', using non-lethal methods, though, of course.
Of all the gloomy news out there, and it is getting harder to 'choose' which articles to put in digest form because there is so much of it, so very much these days! but that even with all of that, today there is one snippet that just absolutely struck both fear in my heart and joy for the coming HOPE:
Foreign economists urge 'global financial plan'
"Leaders and economists from Western Europe to East Asia Tuesday urged the United States to go beyond reviving a failed domestic bailout and start working on a new global financial system."
"Associated Press Traders at MICEX, the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange, watch and wait during a tense session in Moscow on Tuesday when stock indexes sank despite a two-hour trading halt. "The Americans don't have a choice — they must absolutely have a global plan," Christian Noyer, head of the French central bank, said in Paris."
"David Smick, a global strategist and author of "The World Is Curved: Hidden Dangers of the Global Economy," said the next U.S. president should immediately call for a second "Bretton Woods" conference to devise a new doctrine of international finance."
-------------------------------------------
'no choice'...'global financial plan' ... for students of the bible, we know this as end times promise of the institution of a global economy in which all will be forced to take the Mark of the Beast, a tangible marker indicting allegiance with satan, or else one cannot buy or sell.
If this doesn't spell Revelation 13:16, I don't know what does! A one world economy, cashless society, buying and selling forever changed. Watch for it, it is happening now and quickly.
Are we praying for Jesus to prepare hearts of believers to strengthen their faith, and for unbelievers to receive the seeds of faith in a softened heart? The power of prayer is everything! Do we believe that He is coming soon, and that His word is 100% true, the gentle parts as well as the judgment parts? Then let us be strong not only in the times of ease but in the times of tribulation, so as to offer a living, breathing, honorable example of His glory to others who have no hope!
"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."
Fireproof the movie has earned the 4th best overall box office for the weekend. Counting per-screen, it came in second, because it was released on only 869 screens yet grossed as much as those movies released on over 2000. This fact has stunned movie theater owners, Hollywood, and the movie industry in general. As Alex Kendrick the director said in the article below:
"America has two cultures. There's New York City and California — and there's the way the rest of the country lives."
I encourage all to see the movie and also right now to skip on over to the link and read the full article. Both are well worth it!
SHOWBIZ STOCK WATCH: How 'Fireproof' Used Power of Prayer to Stun the Movie Industry
by Steve Mason
"I'm not impressed with Hollywood in general. They don't make a lot of movies that lift our standards and morality." That's what director Alex Kendrick told me in a telephone interview on Monday after his new movie Fireproof (IDP Films/Samuel Goldwyn) generated a downright shocking $6.5 million opening weekend. Los Angeles and New York are filled with talented film professionals, who spend countless hours and millions upon millions of dollars making movies. The cost of development, production, a director, actors and marketing make the craft of filmmaking prohibitive. So how did a little church in Georgia score the fourth-best gross of the just-completed weekend?
edited, read the full article at the link. The power of prayer, ahhh, praise the Lord He listens and cares!

Your Daily Doom Monday: hurricanes, leaping bankers, and economy unhinged
Elizabeth
-------------------------------------------------------------------
As a prelude to the financial news, I recall Ezekiel's funeral lament on Tyre's fall, it is chapter 27.My concordance says- "It compares the city to a ship, mentions its trading partners, and describes how the ship sank. Jesus spoke of Type as a city worthy of judgment. (Mt 11:22)"
"The beauty of Tyre was the source of its pride and Tyre's pride guaranteed its judgment. The lesson perhaps for today is that unwarranted conceit in our own accomplishments is a danger signal to us. James spike of it in ch 4:13-14"
Boasting About Tomorrow
Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money." Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes."
Though James was not specifically prophesying and was the lament for Tyre was really a lament for Tyre, the principles behind the passages is a good lesson for today's situations on Wall Street and Washington DC. Since God is the same yesterday and today and tomorrow, perhaps, since we are seeing a repeat of the sins of the merchants of the past we now should be ready for coming judgment? I leave you to ponder

New visitor center omits America's religious past
The Capitol Visitor Center (CVC) in Washington, D.C., is currently under construction but scheduled to open in December to an estimated 15,000 people a day. Virginia Representative Randy Forbes contends the exhibits displayed in the Visitor Center contain few and factually inaccurate references to the nation's religious heritage.
For example, the reference to "religion, morality, and knowledge" in the Northwest Ordinance is excluded. Forbes notes the national motto "In God We Trust" has even been removed from the underground building.
"As many people know in looking at C-SPAN, behind where the Speaker stands, there is [sic] a number of columns, and above those columns there is the inscription 'In God We Trust.' In the mock-up that's meant to simulate that area in the new Visitor Center, they've taken 'In God We Trust' out, and they just have gold stars that go across it," Forbes details. "And then when they made a picture of the Speaker's podium, they cropped the part that said 'In God We Trust.'"
Virginia bans Jesus Christ's name
Virginia Gov. Timothy Kaine is being called on the carpet by a national religious freedom advocacy organization after his administration implemented a new state policy forbidding state police chaplains from using "Jesus Christ" in public prayers, and half a dozen chaplains resigned in protest.

From the 'this can't be good' department

I wake up to find a war going on.
Russia sends forces into Georgian rebel conflict
Georgia Russian jets bomb air base by Tblisi
MEGVREKISI, Georgia (Reuters) - Tensions over Georgia's rebel territory of South Ossetia exploded on Friday when Georgia tried to assert control over the region with tanks and rockets, and Russia sent forces to repel the assault.
Georgia declared war on South Ossetia on Friday. Georgian airplanes launched attacks against the capital city Tskhinvali and the areas around. A line of vehicles with humanitarian aid was attacked as well. North Ossetian President Teimuraz Mamsurov was in one of the vehicles. There are skirmishes in regions where Russian peacekeepers are deployed. Many civilians are reportedly injured. The UN Security Council expressed concern about the worsening fighting in South Ossetia, but could not agree a Russian statement urging the warring sides to renounce the use of force.
Russian troops enter South Ossetia after Georgia offensive
MEGVREKISI, Georgia (AFP) — A Russian army convoy entered South Ossetia on Friday and Russian planes attacked a Georgian military base, reports said, after Georgian forces pounded the capital of the breakaway province and warned of "war" if Russia intervened.
Russia's three main news agencies said a convoy had crossed into South Ossetia.
--------------------------
I wake up to find rumors of wars going on:
'2 US aircraft carriers headed for Gulf'
THE JERUSALEM POST
Two additional United States naval aircraft carriers are heading to the Gulf and the Red Sea, according to the Kuwaiti newspaper Kuwait Times. Kuwait began finalizing its "emergency war plan" on being told the vessels were bound for the region.
The US Navy would neither confirm nor deny that carriers were en route. US Fifth Fleet Combined Maritime Command located in Bahrain said it could not comment due to what a spokesman termed "force-protection policy." While the Kuwaiti daily did not name the ships it believed were heading for the Middle East, The Media Line's defense analyst said they could be the USS Theodore Roosevelt and the USS Ronald Reagan.
Within the last month, the Roosevelt completed an exercise along the US east coast focusing on communication among navies of different countries. It has since been declared ready for operational duties.
----------------------------
By the way, that 'exercise' just completed was called "Operation Brimstone."
I have been saying for so long we are in the end times. By October we will be in the Tribulation. The end is near!!
Matthew 24:6- "And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet."
Revelation 6:3, 4 - "And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword." -
NOW is the time to get right with Jesus. Ask Him to forgive your sins, and ask Him to be the Savior of your life and Lord. Dedicate your life to Him as your refuge and you will know eternal bliss in His presence on That Day!

Updated tornado trends
I took NOAA's data and made a bar chart. The first bar is an average number of tornadoes for the last ten years. Compare that graph to this year's number. Wow.The intervening bars are the three previous year tornado count.
Yikes.
I did this because unlike the previous two NOAA graphs of tornado trends, NOAA has diluted the graphical presentation by muddying it with additional and extraneous data. I took the actual data and presented the information more cleanly so the truth of the situation is more visible.

War...rumors of wars...bible
1. US generals ‘will quit’ if Bush orders Iran attack
2. CentCom Chief Admiral Fallon Resigns
3. The War Camp in Death throes is intent on striking Iran
And just to be sure I made my point:
4. U.S. Weighing Readiness for Military Action Against Iran
5. 'Unavoidable' attack on Iran looms, says Israeli minister
Ok, here's the part where I say weird things.
Fasten your seat belt, because we are deep in the End Times. This is a time spoken of by Jesus while he was on the Mount of Olives responding to His disciples' questions regarding the signs of His return. The bible tells us that in the end times, a war emanates from the Euphrates River in which two-thirds of all the people on the globe die. Terrible tribulations are coming, indeed, have already started. The prophesied wars, rumors of wars, familes, pestilences have begun. "We've always had wars, you silly!" I can hear the skeptics saying. "We have always had famines, pestilences!" Yes, but now it's worse, getting exponentially worse every day. More on that later.
However, in Joel 2:28 He promised also that in the end times--
“And it shall come to pass afterward
That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions."
He is coming again soon. But for now, for a short time that remains, we still have time to turn to Him and accept His saving grace through faith. Here's how.

Doom: what's your apocalypse tolerance?
...McKeag isn't just kidding when he tells us the end of the world is nigh, our days are numbered and that we'd better get ready. But he's also gone a step further by asking how bad things have to get before we individually decide we've got no choice but to pack up and leave. Think stuff like SARS, the Kelowna forest fires, Iraq and Iran, solar flares and their connection to hurricanes and tsunamis, looming pandemics, drug-resistant bugs, terrorism, climate change, impending economic collapse, water shortages,... you name it -- and you begin to get the picture, McKeag says."
Bees dying, bats dropping, oceans gasping, ice melting, jellyfish exploding, food shortaging, hospitals filling, satellites falling, dollar devaluing, people shooting, seeds banking, earth drying...I could go on here. But I think it's obvious...things are bad.
chart caption: "But for systemic intervention and manipulations by the Federal Reserve, it appears we might be contemplating a collapsed U.S. banking system and a looming deflationary great depression that could have dwarfed the bad times of the 1930s." Pardon me, but isn't it a good idea for the Federal Reserve to actually have some cash...on reserve? Living on borrowed money means the economy is living on borrowed time. What's the FDIC response? Post new rules on"Processing Deposit Accounts in a Bank Failure." Have you stuffed your mattress yet?
And what's with food lately? Hmmm, glad they thought ahead and created the Svalbard Seed Bank, so at least some folks will have food. Later. When there isn't any.
Food prices spiraling upward
Bulgaria faces massive grain shortage
Food shortage in Venezuela
Nepal: Household Food Stocks Down to Half in 38 Districts
Food inflation surges by 18 percent in January
China scrambles to ensure food supplies after snow
Vietnam: Severe cold affects rice crops, cattle in the north
Food is an issue worldwide
And in Haiti...they are eating mud
So what's a happy-go-lucky Georgia gal to do? First, accept Jesus as payment for our sins, the only hope for this life and for eternity. Then, being a pragmatic doomsayer, use the rapidly devaluing dollar to buy real items. Commodities Now! Things that will be useful in the short term and in the mid-term. Things I would likely buy anyway, but would be more expensive later because the dollar will not be worth much: a kerosene lamp or two (with extra wicks,) a new two burner propane Coleman InstaStart stove, thanks to ebay, food in cans, bulk grains, and dried food thanks to the Dollar Store, a sturdy used mountain bike needing no repairs, a pump, and a lock thanks to the local thrift shop, draw water, get the first aid kit ready.
Christians will be saved from the day of wrath but goodness, things are already pretty bad and likely to get worse, and we haven't been raptured yet. Remember how fast society crumbled after Katrina? How cold 46,000 folks got in Grand Junction last night? Or the 80,000 total in Maine? The end times are happening now. So here we go:
Repent! The end is near.
