Introducinnnnng...My new blog! http://www.the-end-time.blogspot.com, "The End Time". I seek to be a one-stop shop of news, videos, bible verses, essays, and up to the minute information on all things End Time prophetic.
On the left side menu there are links to other prophecy news sites, most are automatically updated daily. Below that, are videos related to end times themes. On the right are polls, Christian book reviews (not by me), and the little pictures listing the end times signs are clickable, related to a daily news article about that prophetic sign. Also there are the end times signs listed, clickable, that bring you to the bible verse. So if you forget "which bible verse said iniquity will abound?" just click on the alphabetical list and it takes you right to the verse. The list is not compete, but it's as comprehensive as this layman could get it.
In the middle you will see articles I write about end times, with many links to ongoing news. Today's essay is about the rash of violence overspreading the country related to "rage" such as snow rage, waiting rage, parking rage, etc. It's different news that I send in the Daily Doom digest!

Your Daily Doom Monday: hurricanes, leaping bankers, and economy unhinged
How are you all faring? I pray that we all stay encouraged and positive in these uncertain times. Yet it is admittedly hard when the major news outlets of the day use words like "unhinge" and "fear, confusion, distrust" and "panic"...Yet Jesus is in control. Doesn't that knowledge do a body good? As a prelude to the financial news, I recall Ezekiel's funeral lament on Tyre's fall, it is chapter 27.My concordance says- "It compares the city to a ship, mentions its trading partners, and describes how the ship sank. Jesus spoke of Type as a city worthy of judgment. (Mt 11:22)"
"The beauty of Tyre was the source of its pride and Tyre's pride guaranteed its judgment. The lesson perhaps for today is that unwarranted conceit in our own accomplishments is a danger signal to us. James spike of it in ch 4:13-14"
Boasting About Tomorrow
Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money." Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes."
Though James was not specifically prophesying and was the lament for Tyre was really a lament for Tyre, the principles behind the passages is a good lesson for today's situations on Wall Street and Washington DC. Since God is the same yesterday and today and tomorrow, perhaps, since we are seeing a repeat of the sins of the merchants of the past we now should be ready for coming judgment? I leave you to ponder

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Federal Reserve and other countries' central banks announced new steps Monday that makes billions of dollars available to squeezed banks here and abroad to battle a worsening credit crisis that threatens to unhinge the U.S. economy.

New visitor center omits America's religious past
The Capitol Visitor Center (CVC) in Washington, D.C., is currently under construction but scheduled to open in December to an estimated 15,000 people a day. Virginia Representative Randy Forbes contends the exhibits displayed in the Visitor Center contain few and factually inaccurate references to the nation's religious heritage.
For example, the reference to "religion, morality, and knowledge" in the Northwest Ordinance is excluded. Forbes notes the national motto "In God We Trust" has even been removed from the underground building.
"As many people know in looking at C-SPAN, behind where the Speaker stands, there is [sic] a number of columns, and above those columns there is the inscription 'In God We Trust.' In the mock-up that's meant to simulate that area in the new Visitor Center, they've taken 'In God We Trust' out, and they just have gold stars that go across it," Forbes details. "And then when they made a picture of the Speaker's podium, they cropped the part that said 'In God We Trust.'"

Virginia Gov. Timothy Kaine is being called on the carpet by a national religious freedom advocacy organization after his administration implemented a new state policy forbidding state police chaplains from using "Jesus Christ" in public prayers, and half a dozen chaplains resigned in protest.

The prime minister convened a meeting of leaders - including Spanish prime minister Jose Zapatero, European commission president Jose Barrroso, Australian prime minister Kevin Rudd, Brazilian president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Danish prime minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen - to discuss the global credit crisis at in the Waldorf hotel last night.

The City was in shock last night after the apparent suicide of a millionaire financier haunted by the pressures of dealing with the credit crunch. Mr Stephenson is believed to have taken his own life after succumbing to mounting personal pressures as the world’s financial markets went into meltdown.
Public anger builds over Wall St. bailout talks
As politicians, financiers haggle, readers register fear, confusion, distrust
Some 300 protesters lashed out against a proposed $700 billion government bailout of the financial sector on Thursday. Demonstrators on on Wall Street in New York chanted: "You broke it, you bought it," and "bail me out, too!"

What's That Smell In the Air? Why, It's NorCal Burning Down!

"If you've noticed over the past couple of days, it's smells a bit smoky, a bit ashy in Baghdad by the Bay. It seems, according to CBS 5, Northern California is suffering from about 950 wildfire right now. The top half of the state is, in essence, on fire. Yikes! So far, Carmel Valley residents have been forced from their homes due to the massive blaze in the Los Padres National Forest over in Monterey County, which is the largest blaze yet."
"Overall, 58,000 acres have been torched over the past couple of weeks. Firefighters from Oregon and Nevada have been imported to help tame the blazes running rampant."
And scientists are "perplexed".
From CBS5: "The storm was unusual not only because it generated so many lightning strikes with little or no rain over a large geographical area, but also because it struck so early in the season and moved in from the Pacific Ocean. Such storms usually don't arrive until late July or August and typically form southeast of California. "You're looking at a pattern that's climatologically rare. We typically don't see this happen at this time of summer," said John Juskie, a science officer with the National Weather Service in Sacramento. "To see 8,000, that's way up there on the scale."
I wonder what could be happening? Could it be a world gone haywire? Associated Press thinks so. I don't. I believe that this 'great unraveling' is expected, orderly, and right on schedule. It is the birth pangs of the End Times described by Jesus at the Mount of Olives, in response to the apostles' query as to what the signs of His return be.
