Everyone's hungry!

Yesterday was nice...a good Sunday School class and a good worship service. A friend stopped by and we had a nice chat. Today I've had fun with my kittens, made a toasted turkey and cheese sandwich with a side of potato salad, munched lunch accompanied by chilled water. Another friend is stopping by later with a slice of homemade blackberry pie. The blackberries are from her yard. Fresh! Good!

I took a break from computering to wander out back and watch the birds. The babies are growing quite well inside all the bird houses, and they are clamoring for food! food! food!

Here, a mom busily leaves and comes back with some treats for her chicks.

Backyard beauty

Later I'll post some shots of the inside, cats galore, lounging and relaxing.

The next magnolia to bloom will be this one

Birds in my backyard

You notice I have imaginatively named them, "bird" and "yellow bird" because I don't know what they are. I like to practice taking bird photos closeup because then I can examine their markings and try and figure out what they are. Also, birds are a challenge.

Pastoral Sunday sunset

At sunset, some pics of my blooming backyard

Birds on the wires.

My favorite scene. The backyard is full of birdhouses, and at first I did not know they were used. But they are, no vacancies here!

Here is a close-up detail of birdhouse featured above. Well used.

Blossoms in the sun.

Bird happily singing. There are SO MANY on the property, it is such a pleasure to raise the windows at sunset and listen. Just listen.

Bird bath. I will endeavor to keep them filled. There are several on the property. We have bird houses, bird baths, and trees and shrubs, many of them flowering. I am glad there is no "yard art" or other ornamentation.

Backyard expedition

I really loves that so many birds are hanging out in my backyard. There are lots, blue jays, robins, and many others I can't identify (yet). I am also tickled that flowers are blooming, grass is greening, and the landscape changes almost before my eyes each day.
